Moogy & the Mojo's thrilled the people of the lower east side of NYC, during the riot years of 1988 to 1994. During this time, Moogy's band played in Tompkins Square Park, while the people listened and sometime fought against the police, who were always trying to shut down the park and evict the squatters. Moogy's songs of resistance are on the "Moogy & the MoJo'S" CD. As a regular on WBAI radio, Moogy songs were constantly heard across the tri-state area. Moogy's song, "Tompkins Square Uprising" became an anthem of resistance across the city.
These photos are from Moogy's gig at CBGB's in 94. Moogy has played all the Major clubs in NYC. In the photo below left, Sean Lennon is sitting in at CBGB's and dueting with him on "The Ballad of John & Yoko". Yoko heard the recording of this jam and said, "It sounds like John at the Cavern with the Beatles!"
